Trenary Outhouse Classic
Since 1994, the tiny U.P. town of Trenary has spent the last Saturday of February racing outhouses down Main Street. Teams build them with no metal, mount them on skis and push them toward the finish, and every outhouse must carry a toilet seat and a roll of toilet paper. There's a yearly theme, a fur-hat contest, and food from the Trenary Home Bakery, home of Trenary Toast. 2026 was the 33rd race, which locals called the "Turdy-Turd." Proceeds go to local nonprofits and a scholarship.
