Michigan Firemen's Memorial Festival

Roscommon is home to one of the few state memorials in the country honoring firefighters who died in the line of duty - 76 names at the monument's base. For more than 45 years, firefighters and their families have come from across the country and beyond for a weekend that's half solemn ceremony and half celebration: a Saturday morning memorial service, a downtown parade, antique equipment, waterball competitions between crews, and a Bright Light Vehicle Showdown followed by a night parade of illuminated apparatus.
