Gizzard Fest

Potterville is a town of 2,600 that decided the fried chicken gizzard deserved its own three-day festival, and thousands of people now drive in from across the Midwest to agree. The centerpiece is the Gizzard Eating Contest, where competitors race to put away two pounds of freshly fried gizzards. Around it: a downtown parade, the Another Clucking 5K, a pageant where chicken suits are explicitly encouraged, a car show, line dancing, and Saturday night fireworks over the high school.
