Muskegon Snowfest

The Greater Muskegon Jaycees have thrown this winter party for more than three decades, and its centerpiece is the Battle of the Bowls, a soup and chili cook-off with unlimited sampling. Downtown bars face off in a Bloody Mary showdown, and the day fills out with axe throwing, cornhole and disc golf, plus a euchre tournament the night before. It's a lakeshore town refusing to let February win.
