Burning Foot Beer Festival

Two Muskegon natives dreamed it up in 2014 out of civic pride - they wanted outsiders to experience their beach and a Lake Michigan sunset - and for ten years it ran barefoot on the sand at Pere Marquette, laid out in a circle so everyone got the 360-degree view. Seventy-five-plus Great Lakes breweries, fire dancers, foam parties, and a burning Flaming Hop Tower as the centerpiece. In 2026 it moved to Heritage Landing downtown overlooking Muskegon Lake: new venue, same end-of-summer send-off.
