U.P. Fall Beer Festival

Michigan ranks sixth in the nation for breweries and cheerfully calls itself the Great Beer State, and once a year the Brewers Guild hauls that reputation north to the Lake Superior shoreline. Nearly seventy Michigan breweries set up at Mattson Lower Harbor Park pouring some 372 beers across 73 styles, with food trucks, live music, and a crowd in flannel whatever the weather. It runs rain or shine, and in some years lands on 906 Day, the U.P.'s own area-code holiday.
