Mancelona Buck Pole

Mancelona has been hanging bucks since around 1954, making this one of the oldest buck poles in northern Michigan. The pole opens at daybreak on opening day of firearm season, and hunters compete for heaviest deer, most points, and widest rack while everyone else warms up at the bonfire and the chili stand.
