Mighty Uke Day

It started in 2011 as a one-night screening of a ukulele documentary with pizza and an open mic - and grew into the Midwest's largest ukulele festival, helping crown Michigan 'the Great Uke State' with 30+ uke groups statewide. Every May, Old Town Lansing fills with group strums, workshops, and world-class players, and the Guinness-record World's Largest Ukulele rolls through town in the bed of a baby-blue 1959 Chevy pickup.
