Apple Butter Festival

For 52 years Fenner Nature Center has stirred apple butter in a kettle over an open fire on an October weekend, and four thousand people show up each year to help. Crosscut saws, cider and donuts, pumpkin painting, trail walks, live music, and jars of the finished apple butter to take home - all of it a fundraiser for the conservancy's year-round environmental education and habitat restoration work.
