Hippie Fest

Two days of peace, love, and giant bubbles on the grounds of a Tudor-style village in Lake Orion. The market runs to tie-dye, crystals, sun catchers, and handmade art; there are psychic tents, hula hoops, chalk drawing, a Best Dressed Hippie contest, and afternoon sets from Woodstock-era tribute bands. It skews all ages in the best way - a reporter once found a twenty-year-old and her sixty-year-old mother there in full regalia, blowing bubbles inside of bubbles together. Held rain or shine, in true hippie spirit.
