Professional ice carvers turn more than 10,000 pounds of ice into sculptures on Holland's 8th Street, carving live Friday evening and all day Saturday. Between the frozen games, interactive ice sculptures built for photos, a Meltdown Sale at about 25 downtown shops and restaurants, and an open social district, it's the liveliest weekend of a Holland winter. A Snowmelt 5K kicks off Saturday morning.
