BlueChiliGrass Festival

This started as a private jam among neighbors around Lake Bonisteel, grew until the backyard couldn't hold it, and went public at Goodells County Park in 2013. Now in its 15th year, it's St. Clair County's biggest one-day mix of bluegrass and acoustic stages, a chili cook-off between local restaurants, and artisan booths. There are free kids' crafts and instrument giveaways, and the day ends with scholarships handed out to young musicians.
