Empire Hops & Harvest Festival

Empire sits on the Lake Michigan shore in the middle of Sleeping Bear Dunes, ringed by hop farms whose bines get strung up across the county each summer and shipped to breweries all over the state. Every fall the chamber closes Front Street to celebrate the harvest with those same local brews, cider, food vendors, and live music running into the night. It's run zero-waste with locally sourced ingredients, and every beer sold puts money back into the village.
