Detroit Fall Beer Festival

Michigan ranks near the top of the country for breweries, and every October the Michigan Brewers Guild brings its whole membership to Eastern Market's historic sheds to prove it. Ninety-plus Michigan breweries pour several hundred beers across dozens of styles, all poured as 3-ounce tastes from a token cup. Some regulars show up wearing pretzel necklaces. Mid-afternoon, the entire market raises a glass for a welcome toast and sings the Michigan beer fight song.
