Borculo Dandelion Festival

A small Dutch farming village outside Zeeland throws a festival for the dandelion, the weed most people spend the spring trying to kill. Borculo's version comes with an 11 a.m. parade down 96th Avenue, a longest-dandelion contest, Dandeline Dancing, fireworks, and free ice cream and popcorn on opening night. It's been going for well over a decade and is free.
