Earthworm Festival

Sarah Archer runs a farm where earthworms eat restaurant food scraps and turn them into compost - an operation that started in an old garage and now fills a barn built with a state environmental grant. Each October she throws the worms a party, timed to International Earthworm Month: barn tours, build-your-own worm bin workshops, a kids' worm class, 4-H animals, live music, and a pumpkin-carving station where the guts go straight to the worms.
